Intermediate Series Methodology with Kino

Ashtanga Yoga’s Second Series, known as Nāḍī Śodhana, is traditionally understood as a purification of the nervous system, integrating strength, backbending, twisting, and deep hip opening into a cohesive and transformative sequence. This offering breaks down the methodology of the Intermediate Series, making its more demanding postures accessible without losing the integrity of the practice. Through intelligent progressions, targeted drills, and clear technical guidance, practitioners learn how to approach each posture with greater precision, safety, and understanding. The focus is not only on achieving the shapes, but on developing the underlying strength, mobility, and coordination that support them. For those newer to the Intermediate Series, the practice becomes approachable and engaging, offering practical entry points into complex postures. For more experienced practitioners, it provides refinement, deeper insight, and new ways to evolve the practice with clarity and intention. Prior experience with Ashtanga Yoga is recommended.

Strong & Bendy with Kino

Strong and Bendy
Rather than treating these qualities as opposites, this workshop approaches them as complementary forces that, when developed together, create stability, mobility, and ease in both body and mind. Rooted in classical yoga and informed by contemporary movement mechanics, we will explore how to build strength that supports the joints while cultivating flexibility that is active, controlled, and sustainable. Through guided practice, you will learn how to engage with greater awareness, refining both effort and release in each posture. Open to all levels, this workshop offers clear, accessible tools for practitioners, teachers, beginners, and anyone seeking a more balanced and integrated approach to movement.

Meditation & Yin with Kino

The Subtle Body: Mediation and Yin
Enter the inner landscape of practice, where stillness becomes the ground for transformation. Through meditation and yin yoga, introspection and contemplation become active tools that refine perception and deepen spiritual awareness. The practice begins with a classical seated meditation rooted in mindfulness, establishing a steady and receptive mind. In this space, awareness softens its reactivity and begins to rest in neutrality, offering a clear seat from which to observe without grasping or resistance. From there, long-held yin and restorative postures extend the meditative state. The body becomes a field of inquiry, where breath, sensation, and subtle shifts guide attention inward. With time and stillness, the nervous system begins to downregulate, and brainwave activity slows into patterns associated with calm, introspection, and inner coherence. This is a practice of turning inward, accessing the subtle body, and creating space for deep rest, clarity, and connection.
